STAGING FAQ'S...
Why should
I spend money on a home I’m trying to sell? Won’t it take
away from my profit?
Staging
is an investment. Statistics show that money spent on
staging is recouped several fold in the home’s final sales
price. The research is clear - you will get more money for
your staged home than you would for the same home unstaged.
In our personal experience, one home we staged sold more
quickly and for $100,000 more than a 500 square foot larger,
but unstaged house, down the street. Both houses had the
same amenities and upgrades. The only difference was the
decorating.
Why can’t I
stage my own home?
Most
homeowners can not view their home with an objective eye.
They’ve happily lived in their home for a while and can no
longer see its shortcomings. Additionally, they have
decorated their home in a style that’s all their own and
can’t imagine it being decorated any other way. That’s
great for a house you are living in, but not for one you
want to sell. When you put your home on the market, you
need to be able to see your house through the buyers’ eyes.
At
A Transformed Room,
we are experts at objectively looking at a home and making
the necessary changes to create rooms that appeal to a wide
range of homebuyers. We stay on top of current decorating
trends and understand the psychology behind people falling
in love with your house.
Will you
use some of my furniture and accessories?
Absolutely! We understand that you want to keep costs down,
and this is a great way to accomplish that goal. We are
masters at taking what you already own and either adding
pieces or taking away pieces to make the rooms look
fabulous. Strategically replacing a few outdated
accessories with up-to-date ones can make a huge difference,
especially when combined with low-cost cosmetic updates such
as paint and modern light fixtures.
